Prosperus Growth Sedam moves to fully acquire Croatian hotel operator Medora
Zagreb-based Prosperus Growth Sedam has launched an offer to buy the remaining shares of Medora Hoteli i Ljetovalista, after already owning about 86% of the hotel operator.
Prosperus Growth Sedam is offering to acquire 1,115,116 Medora shares at €4.69 ($5.53) per share, valuing the bid at €5.23 million, according to a Friday filing on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
The transaction would consolidate ownership of Medora's hospitality assets on the Makarska Riviera under a regional investment firm, following approval from the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA).
Medora owns Medora Auri Beach Resort on the Mediterranean coast at Podgora, and the nearby Medora Orbis Luxury Homes & Camping.
Prosperus Growth Sedam previously acquired its majority stake in Medora in November through a transaction with insurers Euroherc Osiguranje, Adriatic Osiguranje, Agram Life Osiguranje, and investment firm Agram Invest. The entity is a special-purpose vehicle of the Prosperus Growth fund, managed by Croatian private equity firm Prosperus Invest.
Why it matters:
The transaction highlights the continued consolidation of mid-market hospitality assets by regional investment firms. The disclosed pricing and regulatory process also provide a visible benchmark for investors assessing tourism and lifestyle assets in Southeast Europe.
