Croatia's Provectus Capital Partners signed a deal to buy a majority stake in Bucharest-headquartered occupational health and safety (OHS) services provider Seatbelt Consulting, marking its first investment in Romania and the OHS sector.

"The transaction represents Provectus' first platform investment in Romania and an important milestone in the firm’s broader Southeast European expansion strategy, following the launch of Fund II and the establishment of dedicated local presence in Romania and Bulgaria," Provectus said on Thursday in a press release.

Founded by Bogdan Neagu, Seatbelt serves more than 1,300 corporate clients across Romania.

Seatbelt and Provectus will focus on expanding Seatbelt's service offering, further investing in digital capabilities, strengthening organizational infrastructure, and pursuing selected acquisitions.

Southeast Europe-focused Provectus has raised more than €250 million in capital and built a portfolio of eight companies, supported by over 40 add-on acquisitions. It operates through three offices, reflecting its expanded regional footprint and consolidation strategy.
